SU: Matthews Mobile Media specializes in all kinds of Automobile graphics customization. What kind of services do you offer? What makes you different than the other companies out there?
MW: Matthews Mobile Media (M3) has been providing wholesale vinyl graphic services to local and national businesses for since 1992. A subsidiary of the Ballston Spa, NY-based Matthews Group Inc, M3 has many standout qualities besides 20 years of established experience; We are 3M certified and belong to USAG – two of the industry’s most widely recognized standards groups for vinyl graphic printing & application. M3 has extended its area of expertise from specifically vehicle graphics to signs (temporary/permanent, indoor/outdoor), decals, and custom environmental graphics (wall coverings, stadium graphics, locker rooms, outfield banners, etc).
SU: How long does the process take to design these graphics and decals? How long until the finished product?
MW: We begin by taking as much or little direction from our clients as they would like – photos, logos, colors, information – and allowing our design team to combine this direction with their experience to create an initial design for review. This process usually takes less than three business days from receiving an order. Once we get the initial design out, we begin working with our customer to fine-tune the details to their satisfaction. This can take anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of weeks. As with any custom design work, we remain vigilant in our flexibility to work with various business types, vehicle models, materials, and of course individual personalities in order to ensure 100% end-product satisfaction.
SU: What are some of the more famous wraps and designs you have made?
MW: The most widely recognized work we’ve created would have to be with local and regional sports facilities. We have managed graphic projects for our NC State University, the Carolina Hurricanes, East Carolina University, Wake Forest University, NC A&T University, University of NC – Greensboro, High Point University, and are the sole graphics provider for the SAL Baseball Champions, the Greensboro Grasshoppers. From team motor coaches to locker room name plates, M3 gets into the nitty gritty with versatile vinyl graphics.
SU: Where did the idea for this come? How did your company get started? What other services fall under your umbrella?
MW: M3 operates under the Matthews Group Inc, a national leader in the transportation industry specializing in commercial and government transportation vehicles, customization and vehicle graphics. http://www.matthewsgroupinc.com/ We began our work in the world of vinyl graphics to support our sister company, Matthews Specialty Vehicles, by designing and producing our own custom graphics under one roof. As the world of vinyl graphics increased in popularity for the freights and fleets of area businesses, we began opening our doors to the world around us realized the potential for state-wide, regional, and national growth. 20 years later we’re still going strong.
SU: Have you dealt with tailgaters before who wanted something special for their cars?
MW: We work on a wholesale business-to-business level to create custom graphics that support their efforts. Tailgaters want to demonstrate team pride with mascots, logos, colors, and a style specific to their beloved sports team, all elements that are almost always license-protected by the team or school. We encourage tailgaters to go through their team’s fan store (online or on-site)
to legally obtain vinyl graphics that demonstrate their team spirit.
SU: Anything else you would like to add?
