It is fitting that Rick Neuheisel is now a studio analyst for CBS Sports, the home of March Madness. Rick knows football, he knows March Madness brackets and he knows how to entertain. He is the kind of guy that you want to sit next to at the sports bar, enjoy a beer, watch some games and share some stories. He is a true tailgating fan.
Rick knows how to make money on March Brackets. In 2003, he was fired from the Washington Huskies for “illegally gambling” on the NCAA Tournament. He did things that millions of others have done this week and he won. It was reported that he won over $10,000 in an auction style neighborhood pool that is also known as a calcutta. He lost his job at Washington, but he got a $4.5 Million after a 21 month lawsuit cleared him from any wrong doing. A nice middle finger to the NCAA. Not the typical way to win cash on March Brackets, but it counts in the bank.
Rick knows how to entertain and loves tailgating. He likes to strum on the guitar and write parodies. He performed his most recent work, “Two Left Feet” on The Dan Patrick Show to open up March Madness. A nice commentary on the tournament with his own personal jabs. He says, “They call it March Madness, but for me it’s just sadness, hell I won’t even swim in a pool..”
Don’t worry Rick, there are plenty of tailgaters that would love to help you drown your March Madness blues. I bet they will even spring for your favorite flavor of Redhook and then head out with you to a karaoke bar. #tailgating #tailgatewithus
