As NFL franchises go, the Buccaneers have historically been terrible. Sure they won the Super Bowl after the 2002 season, but they have won only five other playoff games in their 36 years in the league. And as far as this 2011 season goes, the Bucs have lost seven games in a row by a combined score of 225 to 119 (average loss of 15.1 points) heading into Saturday’s game versus Dallas. But not all things that include the Buccaneer name are subpar.
The Buccaneer Grill Tailgate Cooler is actually pretty tremendous, probably because it has nothing to do with the football team in Tampa Bay. This should really be called tailgate in a bag because it includes a grill, a cooler and a BBQ tool set.
Measuring 15” high x 21½” wide and 12” deep, this handy take-along bag packs in all the essentials. The insulated cooler compartment can ice down an entire 24-count case of 12-ounce cans, and the pop-out grill can fire up six hearty burgers on its 16” x 10.5” grilling surface. The three tools that are included with the purchase are a pair of tongs, a barbeque fork and an oversized spatula. This spatula also contains a built-in bottle opener, serrated edge for cutting and a grill scraper.
The carrying case is quite sturdy with two carry straps, and the base of the bag contains a mesh pocket on the interior and three large zippered pockets on the exterior. And unlike the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Buccaneer cooler didn’t allow 41 unanswered points to the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday.
