Beer is sometimes the be-all, end-all alcoholic beverage for tailgaters, but what about those partygoers that crave a different type of drink? To kick up your party to a higher class, how about serving martinis? Too much of a hassle you say? Not any more.
Picnic at Ascot sells a compact Portable Martini Set for about 35 bucks. Weighing in at just four pounds, this leatherette-covered hard case holds all the ingredients to make drinks that even Mr. James Bond himself would approve. Well maybe not the Sean Connery version, but Daniel Craig will love it.
The contents of the 8” x 7.5” x 7” case include a cocktail shaker holding up to eight ounces, a double jigger, three-ounce flask and a funnel. Two martini glasses, holding 3½ ounces of liquid, and two olive sticks are also included, or you can choose to ignore the sticks for a strictly “shaken, not stirred” approach.
All the equipment is stainless steel that not only looks like you spent a fortune, but is also long-lasting. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for one-movie-wonder George Lazenby playing James Bond.
