Tailgaters are much more adept at emptying coolers than stocking them up, and it’s always a major problem when the cooler becomes beverage-free hours before kickoff. And since a lukewarm beer bottle takes at least 30 minutes of sitting in an ice chest to reach its desired temperature, a faster chilling solution will be called upon in this time of great need.
The Blitz Chiller from Cooper Cooler can lower the temperature of a 77-degree bottle or can to a frigid 38 degrees in two minutes and gets down to an ice-cold 33 degrees in just four minutes. This one-seat ice box can accommodate any beverage of 16 ounces or less, as long as it’s cylindrical.
Operating this device couldn’t be simpler, as seen here on the Blitz Chiller.com demo page. You first put in six ice cubes and then add water before placing the beverage in the cooler and closing the lid. Lastly, you flip the auto-timer switch that has three different settings for your desired amount of chill. It also shuts off automatically, however, with the amount of noise this cooler generates, you’ll easily know when your drink is ready no matter how loud your fellow tailgaters are.
The contraption works by horizontally rotating the beverage while ice water sprays onto the top of the drink. And when you need to switch from pre-game beer to post-game soda to keep you awake on the drive home, rest assured that the can’s fizz won’t explode in your face when you’re driving down the highway.
