We here at Inside Tailgating talk a lot about grills and coolers and the latest gear and gadgets that make tailgating simpler and easier. One thing we often forget about, or take for granted is insect repellent. Mosquitoes and bugs can ruin even the best tailgate setting, especially in this hot weather of the late summer and early fall. To help you avoid this problem at your next tailgate, we have learned about an environmentally-friendly product you should consider throwing in your bag of staples in the back of your car, truck or SUV. It’s called BugBand and here’s a link to their website, which offers ways to find stores near you that sell BugBand or ways to purchase them directly. It also provides a great explanation as to why BugBands are both safer on your health than the usual DEET products and safer for the environment.

BugBands are produced by a company called EES which is based in Cartersville, Ga and partners with the University of Florida.
