Tailgating Yoga

Tailgating Yoga

As we try to expand the reach of the tailgating movement we really should try and include everyone.

So why don’t we tailgate and yoga?

I figure this can come in two different ways. The first is to add some yoga exercises to your usual party. Maybe add a downward dog or child pose between your hot dog and hamburger courses. Think about how refreshed you would be before your big sporting event if you relaxed and calmed your mind and body beforehand? Plus, I am sure you will be the talk of the stadium parking lot…………………….

Another option is to have a full scale yoga retreat but make it like a tailgate party. Have some food and drinks between poses. Maybe have it at an island or beach retreat. Maybe even a serene mountain setting. Then breakout some chicken wings or sliders in between the poses. You may have to adjust the food to your participant.

I would assume there would need to be some vegan, vegetarian and other “-ians” of food choices in the mix. Beer may have to be set aside for something more yoga-like. Spiked green tea is a distinct possibility.

Let us know if it works out for you. I think we may stick to our usual festivities.
