The annual Army / Navy Game is this Saturday. To celebrate we are featuring a cocktail rediscovered by our friends at a A History Of Drinking from their book “Forgotten Maryland Cocktails“. So enjoy this drink while tailgating in the parking lot of Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field.

Army and Navy Punch
Recipe by Admiral Timothy J. Keleher, Annapolis Maryland.
  • 1 gallon French brandy
  • 1 quart Jamaican rum
  • 1 quart peach brandy
  • 1 pint curacao
  • Juice of 2 dozen lemons
  • 1¼ pounds fine granulated sugar
Dress with small slices of orange and lemon. When ready to serve
put in a lump of ice. Will serve 25 people. Strong but good.
