Because we love the name…..Right? Char-Broil has a new cookbook out called the Great Book of Grilling and of all the great recipes – there are more than 300 of them – we couldn’t help but fixate on this one. The other white meat gets overlooked sometimes in the tailgating culture, so we’re going to do our part to make sure that doesn’t happen too often. Without further adieu, the recipe for:

DRUNKEN PORK CHOPS
6 servings • Prep time: 20 minutes • Marinate: 8 hours – overnight • Grill: 12–16 minutes.
Ingredients
2 cups dry red wine
5 bay leaves
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
6 pork chops, 1 1/2 inches thick Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for grilling
Directions
1. Combine red wine, bay leaves, rosemary, coriander, nutmeg, and cloves in a glass dish. Place chops in marinade mixture. Marinate overnight in refrigerator, turning occasionally.
2. Drain chops and pat dry; discard used marinade. Season with salt and pepper, and lightly brush with olive oil. Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill chops 6 to 8 minutes on each side.
