This is the third time we have highlighted sake as a unique cocktail ingredient for your tailgate.
Sake is an alcoholic beverage of Japanese origin that is made from fermented rice. Sake is sometimes referred to in English-speaking countries as “rice wine”. However, unlike wine, in which alcohol (ethanol) is produced by fermenting sugar that is naturally present in grapes, sake is produced by a brewing process more like that of beer.
Our friends at Hiro Sake provided us the following recipe.
HIRO SUNRISE
2 oz HIRO RED Junmai Sake
3 oz orange juice
0.5 oz ounce grenadine cubed ice
Fill a rocks glass with ice. Add HIRO RED Sake and fill with orange juice; stir. Slowly pour in grenadine and let it settle before serving.
