If you hit up any event or restaurant, you’re bound to find a Moscow Mule on the menu— it’s super popular, and very tasty. It’s all about that vodka, ginger beer, and lime combo. But if you want to spice things up and make it Derby-themed, just swap out a few ingredients. Boom—Kentucky Mule! Grab some copper mugs and these four simple ingredients, and you’re golden.
Kentucky Mule
Ingredients
- 1 – 1.5 shots of clear moonshine or white whiskey
- 5 fl oz. ginger beer chilled
- juice of half of a lime
- Ice
Instructions
- Fill a Moscow mule cup with 4-5 ice cubes. Pour in the moonshine or whisky and lime juice. Pour in the cold ginger beer until the cup is full, then stir well. Top off with a lime wedge and serve.
