If you’re homegating the Super Bowl from a Northern climate, going outside may not be in the cards for tailgating games. The cold, snow and freezing rain, and other weather hazards can put a real damper on your fun. If you’re hosting a Super Bowl party in a wintery area, plan a few backup indoor games in case you can’t get outside. There are tons of games that you can plan inside that both adults and kids will love. Whether you want to compete over feats of skill, knowledge, or fun, we’ve got you covered. Here are five indoor tailgating games to play at your Super Bowl party
1. PopDarts
Lawn darts aren’t that safe outdoors, no less indoors. PopDarts are a safe alternative. Made with a sticky rubber, these darts won’t even leave a mark on your counter. To play all you need is a surface like a tabletop and some space. These tailgating games are easy for everyone to play but can foster a challenging competition. How the game is played is simple:
● Set the orange marker on a table
● Have the two players or teams stand at opposite sides of the table ideally ten feet away
● Then have each team takes turns tossing their dart at the orange marker
● Whatever side has the closest darts to the orange marker wins
2. GUD 3 in 1 Football, Baseball, And Darts Toss Game
Obviously, for the Super Bowl you’d set up the football toss, but it’s nice to have some options to mix it up. This 3-in-1 is a small indoor toss game that offers big fun. The balls are ping-pong-sized, lightweight, and covered in velcro. You won’t have to worry about damages or knocking anything over. It’s the perfect indoor game. The way you play is simple:
● Each player is given the balls
● They toss the ball at the targets, trying to get as many points as possible
● When they run out of balls all points are tallied and the next player plays
● Whoever has the most points at the end wins
3. WIN Sports Ring Toss
Usually, we think of ring tosses as an outdoor floor game. However, this ring toss is wall-mounted and designed for safe indoor play. There are 12 hooks on the board, each with a different point value. The goal is to get the most points possible. Learning the rules is easier than getting the rings on the hooks:
● There are 14 rings in red and black
● One team or player will use red, while the other team or player uses black
● Each player will take turns tossing the rings at the hooks trying to get the most points
● The player or team at the end with the most points wins
You can also play ring toss similar to darts where each team has to hit each hook and the first team to do so wins.
4. GoSports Shuffleboard And Curling
This tabletop game is two-in-one and perfect for some Super Bowl fun! On one side is curling and on the other side is shuffleboard. This compact version of the Olympics’ most popular winter sport fits perfectly on a dining or coffee table.
Here is how you play the curling side:
● Each team or player begins with 4 pucks
● The goal is to have more stones close to the red target than your opponent
● You can shoot from the same side or on opposing sides
● Alternating turns, each player will shoot one puck
● You can aim for the red target or try to move other players’ pucks from the red target
● When all the pucks are shot, the game is done
● Whoever’s puck is closest to the red target wins
Here is how you play the shuffleboard side:
● Each team or player begins with 4 stones
● The goal is to get your stone closest to the edge without it falling off
● You can shoot from the same side or on opposing sides
● Alternating turns, each player will shoot one stone
● When all the stones are shot, you will tally the points
● Stones in zones 1, 2, and 3 will get 1, 2, and 3 points respectively
● The winning stone furthest down the board counts as 4 points
● The player or team with the most points wins.

5. Sport Squad Precision Basket Tower
The Sport Squad Precision Basket Tower is the perfect option for your Super Bowl party. It can be played both indoors and outdoors. A simple tower is lined with baskets. The height is adjustable so you can size it for the players. We highly recommend this game for both children and any senior tailgaters on your team. The base of the tower is very sturdy and just requires a little water to hold it in place. Each level of basket has a different size and point value. The game can be played with bean bags (recommended for outdoors) or ping pong balls (recommended for indoors). The goal of the game is to get the most points. Here’s how to play:
● A starting line is determined (this can be any distance you want depending on the skill of the players)
● One player or team is given all the balls.
● They shoot the balls into the baskets hoping to accumulate the most points
● When all the balls are shot, the other team or player goes
● Whoever has the most points wins
With the Super Bowl on February 12th, not every fan will have a chance to get outside and play some tailgating games. Luckily, you don’t have to go outdoors.
