This will certainly jazz up your next party in the parking lot….

There are drinks, and then there are cocktails. This is a cocktail. This is a champagne cocktail to be exact. This is a game changer and you will definitely have some fun when you add a French 75 into the mix. This concoction dates back to the early 1900’s and was named after the 75 mm field gun developed by the French just prior to the beginning of World War I. Yes, as you may well have imagined already – it is very powerful. So lock and load, or shake and pour and let’s get those bottles poppin’!! Vive la France!!

French 75

  • 5 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • .5 oz Simple syrup (one part water, one part sugar)french75
  • 1 oz Gin or cognac
  • 3 oz Champagne

Add all the ingredients except the Champagne to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a Champagne flute. Top with the Champagne and garnish with a lemon twist.

Garnish: Lemon twist

Glass: Champagne flute (plastic may be your best option)
