From time to time companies that don’t have anything to do with tailgating send us content to post that is related to tailgating. Usually we pass, but after debating this one, it looked too good not to share and comment.
We definitely agree that Americans love their BBQ. We found the top and bottom parts of this “infographic” entertaining. The middle got off track – way off track. What do you think is wrong?
Here are three things we see:
1. On a piece about American BBQ, why include the so-called “World’s Longest Grill” in the Philippines? The title is misleading. At that event, grills were lined up, and fish was grilled. They really should have talked about some of the massive BBQ tractor trailers right here in America that cook BBQ – not fish.
2. It is really a sin to lump the Carolinas together when talking about BBQ. North Carolina and South Carolina BBQ is like the difference between North Korea and South Korea. Even within North Carolina a breakdown of Eastern and Western is required.
3. To all our Kansas City friends, you are now best known for your BBQ chicken! Don’t punch us. We didn’t write it.
Despite the middle part being off, we appreciate when anyone spends money and makes an effort to reach out to us to promote BBQ in America.
